Bio:

  • Adam Finkelstein is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Princeton university. His research interests are mainly in computer graphics, with an emphasis on abstract or non-photo- realistic rendering. Much of his recent work has investigated ways to make effective line drawings using computer graphics, particularly in support of finding suitable controls for artists. With others at Princeton, he founded and organizes the Art of Science Exhibition. Finkelstein received his PhD from the university of Washington in 1996. In the late 1980s he was a software engineer at Tibco, where he wrote software for people who trade stock. He was an undergraduate student at Swarthmore College (class of 1987) where he studied (occasionally) physics and computer science.
