Bio:
Alex Bundy is a sound artist, musician, software developer, and philosopher. His most recent work involves interactive sound design and the creation of sound-based environments for meditation. He was a member of the experimental rock band Yume Bitsu, and has been recording and performing as Planetarium Music and under his own name for twenty years. He earned his PhD in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his philosophical work focuses on epistemic issues surrounding disagreement.

Abstract Summary:“Cacophonic Choir,” an interactive art installation, addresses the ways that sexual assault survivors’ experiences are distorted by digital and mass media and its effect. The installation is composed of distributed agents in space that individually respond by becoming visually bright, semantically coherent, and sonically clear, revealing original testimonies of survivors.
