Bio:
Andrés Cabrera received a PhD in Music Technology from Queen’s University Belfast under the direction of Professor Gary Kendall. Dr. Cabrera joined MAT in 2012 and has previously served as a Lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad de los Andes. As part of the AlloSphere Research Group he has developed software systems for distributed multimedia, and leads development of the “allolib” multimedia application library. With Joseph Tilbian, he developed the Stride programming language for interactive embedded and heterogenous systems. His primary research interests are spatial audio, distributed multimedia software systems and user interface design for multimedia software.
