Kris Blackmore

Bio:

• Kris Blackmore is a socially engaged designer and visual artist with a background in fashion whose creative practice utilizes interdisciplinary methods to approach difficult social justice and environmental issues from nuanced perspectives.

  She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2009 with a degree in fashion design. She currently works as a freelance art director and designer for clients such as ADT, Disney/Pixar, Russell Investment, and Vonage.

  Kris is a co-founder of MidGray Collective, an art, design, and technology lab whose work asks the question: If tech companies can analyze and exploit user data for financial and political gains, can we instead use it for positive social impact?
