Bio:

  • Mariana Morais was born in Recife, Brazil, in 1991. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Pernambuco, under which she completed a one year mobility in the Architectural Design program in New York at Parsons, The New School for Design, in 2013-2014. She graduated in September 2016 and moved to Porto, Portugal, in 2017, where she earned a master’s degree in Art and Design for the Public Space, in October 2019. As part of her master’s thesis, she created the art and design project Headless Women and Other Events and the Headless Women in Public Art website. She currently lives in Porto.
