Victoria Szabo

  • Victoria Szabo is an associate research professor in visual studies and new media in the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University. She is also the program director for information science and information studies, and teaches in the new MFA program in experimental and documentary arts. Her work focuses on digital media authorship in scholarly contexts, with special attention to virtual worlds, geotemporal platforms, and immersive narrative environments. She was the chair of the Information Aesthetics Showcase at SIGGRAPH 2009. She holds a PhD in English, with a certificate in gender and women’s studies from the University of Rochester.
